Job Overview 

Our Engineering department is in search of an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. You will be responsible for conducting routine inspection checks and scheduling repairs appointments. Also, you should be able to dismantle engine parts, aircraft frames and engines. Your job responsibilities will also require you to test the functioning of electronic instruments and oxygen systems.

You should have complete knowledge of the FAA regulations and safety procedures. Moreover, you should be able to examine and place orders for new parts and supplies. You should be able to operate aircrafts and undertake necessary upgrades in a safe manner.

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you should be familiar with hand and metal tools and display good physical dexterity. In addition to this, you should be able to work at flexible hours and in extreme conditions. Furthermore, you should be detail-oriented and have strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities 

  • Inspecting aircraft engines on a timely basis
  • Dismantling and repairing engine parts
  • Installing and testing electrical circuits
  • Disassembling and assembling aircraft frames and engines
  • Testing and ensuring proper functioning of communication, electronic instruments, and oxygen system
  • Undertaking routine maintenance checks
  • Placing orders for new parts and supplies
  • Maintaining and updating the record of all maintenance work
  • Adhering to the safety and FAA regulations at all times
  • Operating aircrafts in a safe manner
  • Making necessary upgrades to the aircrafts
  • Performing any emergency repairs as and when required

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology or Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance
  • FAA certification in power plant mechanics and airframe mechanics mandatory
  • 3-5 years of work experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or a similar role in the Engineering department
  • Familiarity with hand and metal working tools like speed handles, torque wrenches, sheet metal rollers and drills
  • Understanding of safety procedures and protocols
  • Excellent physical dexterity and having an eye for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work at flexible hours and in extreme conditions
